Highly trained and dedicated employees, a favourable patent environment and state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities make Malta a key contributor to the Actavis group of companies. The Maltese operation has benefited from considerable investment from its parent company, which has significantly increased its production capacity for EU markets.

Our production facility in Malta is fully compliant with the most stringent EU standards and serves as a key supply source for the group expanding European markets. New packaging lines have also improved our ability to supply customers with ready-made consumer packs. A number of development projects are underway, with a view to producing new products for Actavis group companies.

We sell a number of branded generics and other generic pharmaceuticals. Our product portfolio is set to expand as Actavis continues to consolidate its development expertise and roll out additional investment in manufacturing capabilities.

Established in 1976, we now employ close to 300 staff. Our original focus was on the supply of essential pharmaceuticals to aid agencies such as UNICEF, and the International Dispensary Association, a previous owner of the business. Today the majority of our manufactured products are sold within the highly regulated and competitive EU markets.

Now a member of the EU, Malta's second official language is English.
